The Vehicle Fleet Manager reports to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for managing the entire fleet of vehicles, motorbikes, generators and power-driven pumps, including their use, maintenance and consumption.
Know the delegation's policies and operating strategies
Contribute to the implementation of the policies and strategies of the delegation and its sector of activity
Ensure that the vehicles meet the Tdh safety criteria and monitor the daily checks that they are in good working order (engine oil and brake fluid, water, brakes, tyre pressure, battery acid, etc.)
Supervise periodic maintenance (oil change)
Ensure the vehicles are cleaned (inside and outside)
Monitor the filling in of vehicle maintenance/repair forms and hand them in to Logistics at the end of each month
Provide support for vehicles which have been involved in accidents or which are off the road, and provide a replacement if need be
Make sure the various items of equipment on board are used and maintained properly
Plan the movements of the vehicles
Allocate the appropriate vehicles according to the schedule drawn up by the programme teams
Put in place external transport solutions where necessary
Ensure the transportation of goods or merchandise as indicated by the Logistician or the Head of Delegation
Ensure that passengers always use their seat belt
Use the seat belt for all his/her trips
Regularly check that the on-board records are being kept according to instructions
Check that the safety regulations and the highway code are followed
Make sure that no vehicles are overloaded
Notify Logistics immediately of any accidents, breakages/damage, attacks or theft concerning the vehicle
Manage the stock of spare parts and their consumption
Be responsible for his/her own continuing training to develop his/her skills
Reinforce his/her team's competences through internal or external training
Train the drivers to comply with safety regulations
Write reports on the fuel consumption and costs for each vehicle, generator and power-driven pump
Write temporary or annual activity reports for the Logistics Manager
In his/her professional activities, adhere to the values defined in the strategic plan: commitment, expertise, integrity and self-reliance
Comply with the Child Protection Policy, Safety Policy and Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy
Report any breach observed in the framework of this policy during his/her professional activities both as regards the proven or suspected offence and a preventive breach.
Follow and strictly comply with the current safety policy and regulations and make sure team members also comply with them
Be available to carry out any other tasks deemed useful by his/her direct manager
