Role Overview  

The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of Warchée’s programs, ensuring effective project implementation and alignment with organizational objectives. The role involves people management, guiding and supporting staff to achieve high performance and collaboration. The Coordinator will also maintain strong donor relations through clear communication and timely reporting, while ensuring efficient workshop management to deliver quality outcomes. Acting as a central link between the team, partners, and donors, the Project Coordinator ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with lasting impact. 

Responsibilities   

  • Develop and implement Warch(ée)operational structure. 
  • Supervising technical and support staff, including those based in Tripoli.  
  • Oversee team’s performance, ensure a yearly performance evaluation with employees. 
  • Ensure that staff abide by the code of conduct and security procedures.   
  • Ensure that projects are implemented within the expected timeline, budget, and following the agreed log frame.  
  • Ensure compliance of the implemented activities with the strategy and donor requirements.  
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training material.  
  • Ensure that the filing and archiving of administrative, project, and financial documents is implemented on a regular basis (hard & soft copies).  
  • Conducting visits to supervise project activities.  
  • Establishing monthly work plans with staff.  
  • Initiating contact with other NGOs and civil society organizations for partnerships and coordination purposes.  
  • Support the Finance and Administration Officer with external audits.  
  • Develop Warch(ée)’s annual report.  
  • Preparing donors reports in coordination with the financial officer and the board.  
  • Preparing written responses to call for proposals in line with Warch(ée)’s mission and vision.  
  • Follow up on the implementation of logistics related to implemented activities.  
  • Manage the logistics of the Warch(ée)’s workshop in general as well as Warch(ée)’s events and ensure their timely delivery.  
  • Work occasionally during weekends and overtime to attend events or organize activities. 

Requirements  

  • A Masters degree is preferred, university degree required in social sciences, management or in a discipline relevant to community-based natural resource management and/or community development. 
  • At least 5 years experience working in a similar position for an organization or project. 
  • Experience managing a staff of 10 or more people. 
  • Experience in grants management, proposal writing.  
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures and to manage multitask requirements. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with local and international organizations, the private sector and with bilateral economic development funding agencies. 
  • Ability to represent Warchee to partners, donors, local authorities. 
  • Flexibility to work in fast changing political and security situations. 
  • Computer skills in Windows, MS Word, Excel and Power Point; and 
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English, French and Arabic.
