Capacity building is fundamentally about improving effectiveness at personal and organizational levels.The program focuses on the advancement of the civil society in Lebanon and the region. Participants are provided with working knowledge of managerial, financial, and vast organizational aspects of non-profits in society. The Lebanese Sociological Association (LSA, supported by the International Sociological Association), in collaboration with Jadaliyya/ASI, Lebanon Support, and the Sociology, Anthropology and Media Studies Department at American University of Beirut (AUB), is organising a two-day workshop on the topic of social movements in the Arab region, with a special focus on two countries that did not directly witness the Arab Uprisings:  Lebanon and Iraq.
