On September 25, 2025, CeSSRA convened a roundtable discussion titled “The End of the Grant Era: Implications and Potential for Civil Society Actors in Lebanon,” bringing together local civil society actors to reflect on the shifting funding landscape and its impact on the sector.
In the wake of Lebanon’s compounded humanitarian crisis, the Community Kitchen Initiative emerged as a localized, life-saving response to ensure that food-insecure populations had access to hot, nutritious, and culturally appropriate meals. Operational since March 2025 till present, this intervention served as a vital daily service across Nabatiyeh, South Lebanon, Mount Lebanon, and Baalbek-Hermel. Daleel Madani, the civil society network, is a programme by Lebanon Support that provides a space for collaboration between civil and civic initiatives and aims to strengthen civil society actors’ cooperation, thus limiting duplication of work, and enhancing the sector. In addition, it is dedicated to promoting accessible information about civil society, in a belief in the right to information and in the importance of transparent civil society work.
